Alenga Alokola, MGM

President & Chief Executive Officer
Mwangaza Wa Upendo (Light of Love)

Born in the Congo, Mr. Anokola spent 20 years in the Nyarugusu Refugee Camp in Tanzania, where the refugees ate one meal a day, and where medical treatment was not available, and school infrastructure was very weak. The refugees were not allowed to move outside the camp. Anyone caught outside the camp would immediately be deported to their home country. They ate the same food from January to December. Existence in the refugee camp life was a hopeless life.

Mr. Alokola has built a new life in the United States (U.S.), currently living in Phoenix, AZ. He is a versatile and driven business development strategist with 10+ years of successful project management. He has extensive international experience in African, American, and European markets, with established segment growth in United Nations, Energy, and Medical Manufacturing industries. A multi-lingual social entrepreneur who is passionate about engaging with the global public and where he effectively prioritizes and strategizes projects. He has expertise in time management, project planning, people supervision, and motivating others with equanimity.

His work experience includes serving as a Community Interpreter for incoming refugees with the International Rescue Committee and as a Refugee Case Manager. He founded his own business, Mwangaza Wa Upendo, which offers a variety of custom-tailored programs and services specifically for Congolese Refugees who have been resettled in Arizona. Programs are offered in Economic Development, Education, Technology, Advocacy, and Human and Health Services. The organization has offices in Arizona, Michigan, DRC Congo, and Tanzania.
